  1. For the EN3275 acceptance (batch) requirements:
    – Dimensions
    – Fluid Passages
    – Product Identification
    – Surface Roughness
    – Thread Assessment
I am struggling to understand the Certificate of conformance from the supplier shows compliance or has provided a statement to that effect. This maybe partly due to my poor French language skills, but I am struggling to make a correlation between the inspection stamps and requirements. I would have expected a dimensional report for the samples under review which would have covered the above requirements.
Also I see the surface treatment where applicable would be covered by the Certificate of conformation from the sub-contract, I was expecting to see coating thickness verification per the product standard.

I have some queries on the manufacturing route too:
    – Understand some parts are forged, is this not done by Senor? If they are forged by Senor this should be part of the manufacturing route and a key operation. Alternatively a separate flowchart for forged items?
    – Optional DFL coating, reference should be made to where this sub-contract operation is undertaken in the route. Would this not be a key operation?
    – DFL coating is the only coating mentioned, should this not also cover the PTFE or any other coatings used on the proposed renewal items?

  2. 1. Senior confirm that all dimensions are measured according to internal control report Dct052, in which you can see if it is compliant or not. This inspection process stayed the same from many renewals of PQ052. The dimensions are checked but are not recorded.

    2. Senior responded that all functional coatings are checked with gauges (go/no go). Measurement of thickness is only performed during supplier qualification or when there is a major modification of the process.

    3. Senior Ermeto has never forged parts. Forged parts are supplied to Senior Ermeto by their approval sources (Lisi, Forginal).

    4. The technical notice (example : NT210 for PTFE, NT209 for dry lubricant) is called in the job order at the concerned operation and this notice is dedicated to a specific and qualified supplier. A reference to the technical notice has now been added to a revised manufacturing route/flow chart.

    1. Happy with all of the above, but can we please have a copy of the NT209/210 so that we have the details of the sub-contractor for coatings for future reference.

  3. Senior Aerospace have now provided the coating procedure documents NT209 and NT210, and an additional document, the Qualified Suppliers List for Coatings. The documents are located in the Qualification Report section.
