PFC: for subcontracted operation (such as silver plating in that case), could you please use the column on the right and add company name (GALION in that case)?
Raw material: as per EN4396, raw material shall be procured against EN2171 which has been replaced by EN4317 or EN4318.
Raw material certificate is compliant to AMS5732, CCT 00180 and DMD 0274-22 but does not mention any EN standards. In “Characteristic accountability” document (dimensional report of initial qualification), we can see a justification: “DR 11-03-05 and QBAT N°163/12 paragraphe 2”. Could you please clarify and/or give more detail about this justification?
In test report, sample size for micro/macrographic examinations/grain size and for hardness tests is 2 parts for each of these tests.
The manufacturing batch size is 900 parts. As per EN3299, table 3, sample size is “2 parts per series of 500”.
Thus, in my opinion, we should have 4 parts to be tested for each test
Could you please clarify? (2 parts for the first series, but we have a second series which starts from 501 to 900 and this one does not reach a quantity of 500).
Could you please clarify sample sizes applied for each test specified in EN3299, table 3 (for Acceptance)?
Self-locking torque test-one cycle:
– Seating torque applied is 120 N.m whereas EN3299 specifies 113 N.m for EN4396-030.
– In QTS, it is written “Reusability 5 cycles after 450°C backing” and “Reusability 12 cycles at ambient temperature”. These tests are not applicable for Acceptance. Thus, could please replace “PASS” by “Not applicable for acceptance”?
For better understanding, it should be preferable to add a dedicated line for self-locking torque test – one cycle.

Self-locking torque test question –
this is a typing mistake, when we “copy-paste” some documents from the initial qualification. Seating torque used was indeed 113Nm.
QTS updated and QA400_2021 within this document has been corrected
