In QTR, we do have tensile test results on bolts whereas in CoC, we don’t.
For sure, this screw is too small in diameter to be tensile tested according to ISO9152, clause 5.4.1, note e).
However, on the one hand, this bolt reference has been tensile tested directly on bolts, which is always better. On the other, ISO9152, specifies, in that case, that tensile tests shall be carried out on specimens as per ISO6892.
What are your thoughts on this topic?
Many thanks in advance,
Best regards
Julien
Hello Julien,
In general, we prefer to carry out tests on finished parts when possible, which is the case here.
The results had not been entered on the Coc and that is why you will find an amended Coc on the last page of the qualification report on which the tensile tests on finished parts appear.
Hoping to have answered your questions
Cordially.
Nicolas

Thus, approved from my side.
