It is an issue for me to give an agreement without any functional test. I am agreeing stainless steel banding band are not sophisticated product but their function is important.
QTP for renewing the qualification should contain these tests (base on EN3660-033):
EN2591-101 Visual examination
EN2591-102 Examination of dimension and mass
EN2591-205 Housing (shell) electrical continuity
EN2591-417 Tensile strength (braid retention)

thanks for the provided comments.
Unfortuately I cannot agree to the conditions set by you for the followig reasons:
– standards EN3660-001 and -033 were established by ASD-STAN, and ASD-CERT only applies the qualification rules set by those standards, aiming to treat all manufacturer equaly.
– technical specification EN3660-001 defines the application of EN9133 for the renewal, and the here established requirements were fullfilled with:
Volumes indicated below cover March 2021 to November 2023
EN3660-033AF – 433,613
EN3660-033CF – 29,744
the “Declaration of continued compliance”
the “Product Acceptance Report” (stored in chapter for FAIR”
the FAIR reports (stored in chapter for FAIR)
– the requested tests 101 and 102 are covered by the provided documents
– the requested tests 205 and 417 are executed during initial qualification in conjunction with aging tests. As TE declared “Continued Compliance” and as ASD-CERT is not aware about a change of manufacturing route, to reperform these tests without aging will not bring added value.

Regarding point:

I think weight is not checked in ATP.
=> The requested tests 205 and 417 are executed during initial qualification in conjunction with aging tests.
EN3660-003 request to have 4 groups:
group0: visual examination- examination of dimensions and mass-Magnetic permeability
group1: Shell continuity-vibration-shell continuity
group2: Shell continuity-Rapid change of temperature-Shell continuity
group3: Shell continuity-Tensile strength (braid retention)-Shell continuity
So group3 has no link with ageing tests.
I will follow your explaination and approve the qualification renewal.
