Torque-out test: as per ISO5858, table 7, torque to be applied for this MJ5x0,8 anchor nut made out of stainless steel is 9 N.m.
In QTR, torque applied is 7,2 N.m. However, this torque value is applicable for aluminum alloy.
Could you please fix this?
Locking torque test at 15 cycles:
This anchor nut is made out of stainless steel with additional lubrication (dry film lubricant).
As per ISO5858, clause 5.6.7.2.1, note m, 15 cycles are reduced to 5 cycles in order to avoid any seizing effect.
Hopefully, all results over 15 cycles are compliant. Thus, this is just something to point out, not blocking.
Many thanks in advance,
Best regards.
Julien
Dear Julien,
1.Torque-out test:
Yes, it’s a mistake, HFS SCO has to perform new torque out tests with a torque 9 N.m.
We inform you asap when we have the test results.
2. Locking torque test at 15 cycles:
=> I’ve ever made this feedback to Howmet St-Cosme, we agree on this point.
As the parts are urgently requested by customer, I propose to not update the QTR in order to take into account this change.
BR,
S.Garcia
Dear Julien,
The QTR has been updated to issue B, in order to correct the torque for Torque-out test:
9 N.m.
Can you please take into account the updated QTR ?
Thank you in advance,
BR,
Sebastien
Dear all,
Many thanks to you Sébastien and HFS’ team.
